It is observed that on account of sanctioning of 14 new colleges and sanction of additional courses in existing colleges there is severe competition in getting students for the courses with the result unhealthy competition has set in and many of already existing colleges, let alone new colleges, are suffering for want of sufficient students even to have one batch in each course. There is every possibility of some of the colleges may have to be closed or not to start the new courses sanctioned. This has to be looked into by the University while sanctioning new colleges.

The Vice Chancellor instead of permiting opening of new colleges must rectify mess in many existing colleges as well as in the University. The corruption and politics has reached such a heigt that it will put the state government to shame. The Aloysius College issue is still not settled. Instead of starting new colleges and giving them endless trouble, let the University mind its business of imparting quality education.
