Mangalore: Heavy Rain Forces Air India Flight to Go Back

Mangalore, Jul 17: Because of heavy rain in the city, the Air India flight to Dubai which came from Kozhikode at around 8.20 am on Friday July 16 could not land in Bajpe airport. The flight returned to Kozhikode. The flight was to take off from here to Dubai at 9.30 am.

The Dubai-bound passengers were then sent to Kozhikode through the Air India Express flight that had arrived from Kuwait, at 10.40 am. It is learnt that these passengers boarded their onward flight at Kozhikode airport.

On Friday, the entire coast received heavy rains, with Ankola in Uttara Kannada district registering 18 cms of rain. The meteorological department has predicted rainfall ranging from 10 to 12 cms in the coast in the next two days.

    Raghuveer heavy rain means not little rain,if runway visiblity not in required mark, if flight lands then another accident.

    after the aircrash AIE is taking fully precaution ! even little rain also now they are diverting to some other places, at last who is the sufferer ? OUR OWN INDIAN PASSENGERS ? next month is august 15 INDEPENDENT DAY.BOLO AIE KI JAI
