DiCaprio walks out of Gibson's Film over Domestic Violence Claims

Los Angeles, Jul 30 (PTI): Hollywood star Leonardo DiCaprio has walked out of Mel Gibson's new historical epic as the actor and filmmaker continues to battle a prolific domestic abuse scandal.

When asked if DiCaprio was still lined up for the Viking film, a source close to the 'Inception' star said, "Not a chance. Leo has earned the right to pick and choose who he works with and Mel Gibson is not one of them."

The untitled movie, to be directed by Gibson, would have been the first collaboration between the two stars, reported Fox News online.

Russian pianist Oksana Grigorieva, mother of Gibson's nine-month daughter Lucia, accused him of hitting her and screaming abuse earlier this year. The 'Braveheart' star is currently under investigation.

Alleged recordings of the Gibson's racist, sexist and violent rants have leaked to the press. The Oscar-winning actor is also engaged in a bitter custody battle with Grigorieva for their daughter.
