Mangalore, Aug 7: Rain and sunshine continued to follow one another on Friday August 6, the latter taking an upper hand in the process. Even though almost the entire coast received less rain, Karkala got the highest of seven cms of rain.

Subrahmanya recorded four cms of rain, while other places registered between one and two cms of rain. The hinterlands too got some rains.

The meteorological department has predicted the possibility of normal to heavy rains in the coast during the next two days, with well spread out rains in the hinterlands.
