Karwar: Media Workshop Organized for Development Workers

Karwar, Aug 7:  A day-long workshop on news reporting was organised for the workers of Karwar Diocesan Development Council (KDDC) here on Friday August 6.

Speaking after inaugurating the workshop, T B Harikant, district president of the journalists' association exhorted the participants to master the art of reporting which is necessary today in order to make it 'newsworthy.'

The workshop was conducted by Fr Lorens D’Silva, director of Kristaprabha Social Communications, Karwar and B Wilson, a renowned journalist and cartoonist.

The importance of the role of the media and the technique of writing news reports were the subjects covered in this workshop attended by 60 social workers.
