Cruise Denies Teaming up Beckham for 'Mission: Impossible 4'

London, Aug 12 (IANS): A representative of actor Tom Cruise has rubbished reports that he is planning to get soccer ace David Beckham for a cameo in "Mission: Impossible 4".

Cruise had recently praised Beckham and admitted he's been "encouraging him to become an actor" because of his Hollywood looks. It was subsequently reported that Cruise is lining up a small role in the action franchise for him, reports contactmusic.com.

However, Cruise's spokesperson has rubbished the speculation, insisting that the actor's comments have been "blown out of proportion".

"This is blown out of proportion. He was asked a simple question on (a press) tour about if he thinks David would be a good actor and he said yes... Then it ran into the ether in a crazy way that doesn't (represent) what he said," said the spokesperson.
