Kasargod: Traditional Celebration of Naga Panchami at Ananteshwara Temple, Manjeshwar

Kasargod, Aug 14: Naga Panchami was celebrated with religious gusto at Srimad Anateshwara Temple at Manjeshwar here on Saturday August 14.

The devotees began assembling at the sacred spot since morning. They offered tender coconut and milk abhisheka as part of the reverence to serpent lord.  

It is an annual ritual among the devotees here to assemble at the temple known as the worship place for the devotees of 18 villages.

    Sri Anantheshwar Temple is one of the most sacread temple to GSB community. It has history from 7th century AD. It is one of the first temple established by GSB community. Some of the Peethe under manjeshwar are Manjeshwar, Mangalore, Ullal, Udupi, Udyawar, Mulki, Karkal, Kasargod, Kannangad, Kochi.
    I pray Lord Anantheshwara, Badhra Narasimha and Naga deva to bless every one
