Mangalore: Pillion Rider Dies in Accident

Mangalore, Aug 16: After a motor bike hit an oncoming tempo on Sunday August 15 morning near Adamkudru School near Kallapu, Ullal, a person riding on the pillion of the ill-fated bike was killed instantly.

Adarsh Pillai, a native of Mumbai, working as an employee of a call centre here, was killed in the accident. His colleague and friend, Ankit Karkera, was riding the motor bike.

The two friends, working in a call centre based in the city, had visited Ullal beach during the week end. While returning to the city, Ankit hit the tempo in an attempt to avoid a crater on the road, it is gathered.

A case has been registered in Ullal police station.
