America Ferrera Wins Best Actress for 'Ugly Betty'

Los Angeles, Aug 17 (IANS): Actress America Ferrera has won the best TV actress award for her role in "Ugly Betty" at the annual Imagen Awards held in Beverly Hills, California.

Ferrera beat actress Sofia Vergara and Selena Gomez to land the top award. The award ceremony was held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.

The Best Actor award went to Danny Pino for his role in "Cold Case", while the show was named Best TV series, reports imdb.com.

The best feature film award went to "La Mission", while its star Benjamin Bratt walked away with the best actor in a feature film.

Ana de la Reguera won best actress for "Backyard" and "Kenny Ortega" won best director for his work on Michael Jackson's concert epic "This Is It".
