Udupi, Jul 8: An order from the office of deputy commissioner, G Jagadeesh has stated that the weekly fairs should be conducted in open places so that crowd control is possible.

“The Covid protocol is being violated by the people who come to buy goods. The officials of the municipal council, panchayat and secretaries of APMC and panchayat development officers should make sure that people in the weekly fairs wear face masks, maintain social distance and adhere to Covid-19 regulations,” the DC said.

"The respective officials will be held responsible in case there is a violation of Covid protocol,” stated deputy commissioner G Jagadeesh in the press release.
