Chamarajanagar, Jul 9: More than 35 people from M G Doddi village within Koudalli gram panchayat limits in Hanur taluk of the district, had returned to their village after participating in a wedding function held in Tamil Nadu. All of them have been admitted into the district Covid care centre. The entire M G Doddi village has been treated as a containment zone.
A week back, over a hundred people from the village had visited Tamil Nadu to take part in the marriage function of a relative. They had returned four days back, and the health department, who came to know of them, had collected their throat swabs and sent them for testing.
