London, Sep 12 (IANS): "Avatar" actress Zoe Saldana is in awe of her mother because of the sacrifices she made to give her daughters a better life.
Saldana revealed when her father died she was just nine years old. Her mother left their New York home to take her and sisters Cisely and Marial to their birthplace in the Dominican Republic, where they could fulfil their dreams, reports femalefirst.co.uk.
"My mother is my hero. She sacrificed herself so we could study and fulfill our dreams, always advising us to uphold wholesome values, love and family," said Saldana.
