Kundapur: Revanna in Kollur – Asks CM to Come Clean

Daijiworld Media Network – Kundapur (SP)

Kundapur, Sep 13: On Sunday September 12, former minister and JDS leader, H D Revanna, visited Kollur Goddess Mookambika Temple and performed puja to the Goddess.

Speaking to the media, he demanded full powers to be vested with the state Lokayukta to go into the misdeeds and allegations involving the Chief Minister (CM), his cabinet colleagues, politicians and all officials. He exuded confidence that skeletons will tumble out of the cupboards of all the concerned, once this demand is met.

“If the CM is genuinely interested in cleansing the administration, let him accept my challenge. What can the government achieve by appointing additional Upa Lokayuta without arming the institution of Lokayukta with sweeping powers?” he questioned. He accused Yeddyurappa of retaining all important portfolios with him, and failing to keep up his promises. He accused the BJP government of failing in all fronts.

He said that the government’s honesty has come under the clouds because of its inability to give a convincing explanation about the missing of huge stock of iron ore worth hundreds of crores of rupees from Belekeri port. “The fact that the state ministers are involved in illegal mining has attracted national attention. The controversies involving ministers Ramachandra Gowda, Halappa and Renukacharya and others have laid bare the farcical claims of the state government of providing transparent rule,” he opined.
