Bantwal: Police Thanks Citizens For Staying Calm After Ayodhya Verdict

Bantwal, Oct 6:
A congratulatory meeting for citizens was held by the police department at B C Road here on Tuesday October 5, for maintaining peace after the announcement of the court verdict on the Ayodhya matter last week.

Various religious leaders, peoples’ representatives, and veteran citizens attended the meeting which was jointly organized by taluk administration and police department.
 


Meanwhile, all the participants assured the police department of their co-operation in maintaining communal harmony at all times.
 
Police and revenue officers urged the gathering to co-operate in maintaining communal harmony and brotherhood and to inform them of trouble makers whenever peace is threatened.

Zilla panchayat president Santhosh Kumar Bhandary, taluk panchayat president M Babu, zilla panchayat member Sadanand Malli, town councilor B Dinesh Bhandary, Bantwal Urban Development Authority president Govind Prabhu, taluk panchayat member Chandrahas Shetty Bolantoor, Vittal gram panchayat president Ramanath Vittal, zilla panchayat former member M S Mohammed, S Abbas, veteran leaders Sadanand Poonja and G Anand, Dalit leader Raja Pallamajal, Bantwal circle inspector Nanjunde Gowda, sub-inspector Vivekanand, Tahsildar Mohammed Rafiq, and Rakshit were present on the occasion.
