Bengaluru, Sep 5: Large and Medium Industries Minister Murugesh R Nirani has decided to restart the Industrial Adalats in the State from September 27 to help solve industry related problems on the spot.
Nirani extended a warm welcome to the Union Heavy Industries Minister Dr Kedarnath Pande, who had come to Bengaluru on an official visit and held discussions on various issues.
In an effort to encourage the spirit of entrepreneurship among the youths in Karnataka, Nirani has planned to hold symposiums and workshops in major cities across the state.
The Industries department under Murugesh Nirani will also reintroduce Industrial Adalats from September 27 to help solve industry related problems on the spot.
The minister had introduced this concept during his earlier tenure as Industries minister during 2008-13 period.
The decision to reintroduce Industrial Adalats was taken after his recent meeting with the senior officials including Additional Chief Secretary (C&I) E V Ramana Reddy, Commissioner for industries Gunjan Krishna and Karnataka Udyog Mitra MD H M Revanna Gowda.
The Industrial Adalats provides platforms for stakeholders from the industrial sector to get their long pending grievances resolved.
The Industrial Adalat holds significance since it helps industrialists and other stakeholders to get their grievances or small disputes resolved on the spot without indulging in litigation thus saving crucial time and money and also helping industrial growth.
Many investors and industrialists have immensely benefited from Industrial Adalats and issues such as land disputes, taxes, fees, infrastructure facilities and other related issues were resolved amicably.
The Minister has also chalked out symposiums and workshops in major cities across the state along with Industrial Adalats to encourage youths to become entrepreneurs.
The symposiums or workshops for youths will be held a day after the scheduled Industrial Adalats in cities such as Bengaluru, Mysuru, Mangaluru, Belagavi and Kalaburagi.
"We want to encourage the spirit of entrepreneurship among our youths by imparting necessary skills through these workshops and make them entrepreneurs. We want them to emerge as job-providers instead of job-seekers," Nirani said.
Many industrialists and trade bodies have praised Minister Nirani for his initiatives like Industrial Adalats and workshops for budding entrepreneurs and said that this will create a more business-friendly atmosphere, encourage entrepreneurs and further spur industrial and economic growth in the state.
