Udupi, Oct 6: Journalist K Shashidhar Hemmanna has been selected for the media fellowship of Centre for Alternative Agricultural Media (CAAM), Dharwad. The first-time winner of the fellowship from the district, Hemmanna has been serving as the correspondent in a Kannada TV channel since 8 years.
The award will be handed over at the valedictory of the training by the CAAM at Devavrunda of Moodigere, Chikmagalur district in the last week of October. The fellowship is awarded taking the achievements made in the fields of work distribution and rural agriculture journalism during the course of the CAAM training.
CAAM which is celebrating its decennial year has been selecting 30 candidates across the state and training them since seven years and awarded the fellowship to the eligible thereby. This year 12 achievers, who emerged eligible have been selected for the award.
