Mangalore, October 7: Dakshina Kannada District Taximen and Cab Association members organized Souharda Cricket Tournament - 2010 at the Nehru Maidan on Tuesday October 5.
Association president K Monappa Bhandary and working president Pramod inaugurated the tourney.
In all 16 teams participated in the ttourney that was won by Kadri Park Team. The winning team captained by Alwyn Noronha beat the Muttappa katte team by 11 runs in the thrilling finals.
Fourwinds managing director E Fernandes gave away the trophy and Rs 5,555 to the winning captain. Shameer won teh man of series, while Chetan and Imran were adjudged best batsman and best bowler.
Apart from Bhandary and Pramod, association executive committee members Anand K, Abel D'Souza and Uday Kumar were present. In all the association has 1,180 members.
