Udupi, Oct 7: Benson Prabhakar Anchan, Rajyotsav award recipient and world renowned musician, was felicitated on behalf of the people of his hometown by Fr Bukarti Berty Ammanna of CSI Ebenezer
Church, Malpe, on Wednesday October 6.
Anchan is a native of Malpe, near here, and settled in Mangalore. He is serving as a member of the diocesan council, as well as office-bearer of many social welfare and voluntary organizations.
Anchan was felicitated at his native church on the occasion of his 75th birthday that was attended by a large number of his well wishers.
He is a rare musician who can create melodies on a mouth organ with his nose.
