Mangalore Oct 10: The Excise department officials have busted illegal liquor racket at Pathur near Mudipu here.

Acting on a tip off, the officers rushed to the spot and succeeded to seize liquor bottles and a car on charges of illegally transporting it from Goa to Kerala.

The police also seized liquor worth Rs 80,000. The culprits have however succeeded to abscond. Search operation for the absconding are on full swing. The raid operation was led by excise department sub inspector Vishwanath Pandith with the help of his staff members.
