Udupi Oct 12: Dr A V Baliga Memorial Hospital, here in association with District Legal Services Authority and Bar Association,Udupi observed the World Mental Health Day at IMA hall, Brahmagiri here on Monday October 11.
On the occasion, the college also conducted a workshop on the theme given by the World Mental Health Federation, ‘Chronic physical illness and mental illnesses'; need for integrated and continuous care'.
Dr Na Mogasale, president of Kannada Sangha Kanthavar, president Vardhaman Peeta, Karkala, and president Allamaprabhu Peeta Karkala inaugurated the programme.
Naranderakumargunki, district and session Judge presided. Dr P V Bhandary, director, Dr A V Baliga Memorial Hospital and Vijay Hegde, president of Bar Association were present.
Nagraj Murthy welcomed the gathering. Sowjanya shetty compered the programme and Jeevan Lewis delivered the vote of thanks.
In all, 450 students from different colleges participated in the programme.
