Mangalore: Sandeep Malani's Short Film 'Jo Jo Laali' Premiers at Sandesha

Mangalore, Oct 15:
Journalist-turned director Sandeep Malani's short film 'Jo Jo Laali' premiered at Sandesha Lalita Kala Academy here on Friday Oct 15.

The film tells the story of an AIDS-affected child and its mother. The mother takes up the courage to work as an AIDS counsellor after her child succumbs to the disease.

Kamal Lokhandwala is the cameraman and Ganesh Narayan the choreographer of the 40-minute film. Akash Hora, Shrey Tejas, Sanjay Kerwani, Ruby Anand, Pulkeet Agarwal and Dr Ishwar Giladi make up the cast. Kalpana Pandith is the heroine who is also the producer of the movie.

Sundeep Malani, who has also made a Kannada film '6 to 60,' has penned the story, screenplay, and dialogues besides directing the film.

Fr Walter D'Mello, parish priest of Milagres church, Dr Olinda Periera, Fr Valerian Mendonca, director of Sandesha, Fr Richie Rego, coordinator and head of the PG department of mass communications, St Aloysius College and students of various colleges were present.
