Beltangady: Three Booked for Inducing Religious Conversion

Beltangady, Oct 18: The personnel of Venur police station have registered cases against three persons, based on a complaint received against them. The three reportedly visited a family, derided Hindu gods, and induced the family members to convert.

It is said that three men, A M George, Ruby Thomas, and M S George, visited the home of Ramesh in Babottu, Tenka Karandoor village in the taluk at around 11.30 am on Saturday October 16. “They explained about the salient features of Christianity, made insulting remarks about Hindu gods, and urged us to get converted into Christianity. They also offered inducements by way of various facilities for this conversion,” Ramesh said in his complaint.

It is gathered that the three men named above, who are from Kerala, presently reside in Beltangady.

    Sorry to say, I think you are talking BS. I am in the US and Christians (evagalicals) are all over knocking even at my door a few yrs ago and ha ha we had a good discussion about the bible and quran and Gita and they left, sad to have not pouched on a simpleton like the one's in villages in India that you guys entice with free food and shelter etc. India is a land with religious freedom, thats the only reason you guys still exist there... not a threat, but Hinduism is so much more older and solid in its structure and base, Christianity esp. would not stand a chance.

    One religion may be better than another. It is for each one to hear, and to decide. Blocking preaching is simply forcing people to not use their options.

    Now-a-day, people do not have time to go to Temple, Church or Mosque. And three Gentlemen, devote themselves to preach other community to convert to their religion?
    Sure they might have paid for this job by someone? Else who care for this job?

    I am very sad to see the false complaints by some one is entertained by the Police and harassing Christians. India is a free Nation, and we have the constitutional rights to preach, teach, and to choose a religion whom I like. It is non of anybody's right to object and give false complaints and the Police are so fanatics to take action on false complaints. The Central Government should pass a strict order, saying every Indian has the freedom of speech, freedom of religion and freedom to convert him/herself any religion. I am very sad see the illegal proceedures are developed by the Police department, specially in Karnataka. In USA no body bothers about convertion because they practice the law but in India it has become a lawless Nation. I love India and I will remain an Indian, but to choose religion is our rights.

    Christians openly talk about converting the Hindus in to their faith. They use any tactics or methods to lure the Hindus in to their flock. They Christians do not hesitate to even admit let alone the converted Hindus. Father Joseph Menengis, priest of St James Church in Mariyannapalya, Bangalore, confessed before the Justice B K Somashekara Commission of Inquiry on Wednesday (March 11, 2009) “The duty of every Christian is to convert non-Christians to Christianity by any means.” When he says “by any means” what does it mean. That means Christians can go against their own Bible teachings, ignore their own Bible, and insult their own God to their selfish monetary motives. They use such method as deception, deceit, force, manipulation, allurement, tricks, treachery, exploitation, violence, killings, educational indoctrination, defame other religions, demean other gods, denounce other scriptures, sexual exploitation and the list goes on.

    All religions are about love, forgiveness and gratitude. Conversion is saying implicitly that one religion is somehow better than the other religion. common sense is a most uncommon commodity in India.
