Mangaluru: GP officials slap Rs 10,000 fine on hotel owner for dumping garbage on roadside

Mangaluru, Oct 3: Adyar gram panchayat(GP) president, PDO and other staff imposed a fine of Rs 10,000 on the owner of a hotel for throwing garbage on the roadside. The offender was caught red-handed by the officials.

When inquired, the owner denied that it was not the waste from his hotel. When examined, the bill of his hotel was found in the waste. Adyar GP officials further warned him and slapped Rs 10,000 fine.

In future, if anyone throws waste by the roads and public places under Adyar GP limits, police complaint will be lodged, informed the concerned authorities.
