Mangaluru: Man from Vogga dies in accident near KPT Junction

Mangaluru, Nov 2: Prashanth (37) from Vogga, Karinja, who was riding a motorbike, was killed after a lorry hit his motorbike on Sunday October 31 near KPT Junction on national highway 66.

Prashanth was moving towards KSRTC bus stand, Bejai from the direction of Yeyyadi in his motorbike when a lorry which came from behind, tried to overtake his motorbike. When overtaking, the lorry brushed against the handle bar of the motorbike. Prashanth lost his balance and fell to the road. He got stuck to the rear wheel of the lorry.

The lorry dragged Prashanth for several meters before stopping. Prashanth, whose condition was critical, was taken to hospital. However, treatments failed to bring any improvement in his condition and he breathed his last.

A case relating to this accident was filed in Kadri traffic police station.
