Puttur: Couple from different faiths in lodge - Police intervene

Puttur, Nov 4: The members of Hindu Jagarana Vedike alerted the police about the fact that a lady belonging to a different faith was in a lodge with a married man belonging to another religion in the city. The police went there and took both of them into custody.

The lady happened to be a Hindu from Bengaluru. The married man was a Muslim. Workers of Hindu Jagarana Vedike had observed them when they were in the KSRTC bus stand at night, and followed them. After the police visited the lodge, they arranged for the lady's stay in the lodge, and took the man away. They got in touch with the family of the lady. It is learnt that the family members of the lady came on Wednesday morning to take her away.
