Bantwal, Nov 9: “Life is a series of struggles and challenges as well as joys, and efforts should be made to overcome difficulties and face life’s challenges,” said MLA B Ramanath Rai.
 
He was speaking at the inaugural ceremony of ‘Ranga Chiguru’, children’s theatre training camp, inaugurated at Shamboor Government High School here on Monday November 8. It is organized under the aegis of Karnataka Balavikas Academy.
 

“Dramas convey the message of moral values as well as indicating how we can be role models to others”, said Rai. 
 
He recalled his acting skills when he was studying in high school and urged the students to make the best use of opportunities provided by Balavikas Academy in honing their acting skills.
 
Narikombu gram panchayat president Anand Salian inaugurated Ranga Chiguru by beating traditional drums.
 
Speaking on the occasion, zilla panchayat member Ummer Farouq said that the students are excelling in studies and now have a golden opportunity to hone their acting skills through the theater training camp.
 
School betterment committee president Bondala Jagannat Shetty said that the students will get an opportunity to exhibit their theater skills with encouragement from Balavikas Academy.
 
Retired teacher Krishna Shetty conveyed best wishes for the training camp.
 
Women and child welfare nutritious food inspector Venkappa explained the activities of Balavikas Academy.
 
Taluk panchayat member Sunita Padmanabha, school betterment committee members Prakash Karant, Bhoganath, Poovappa Poojary, Srinivas Rayasa, and Keshava Padav, and taluk working journalists’ association president Sandeep Salian were also present on the occasion.
 
Camp director Mounesh Vishwakarma delivered the introductory address. 
 
The school head teacher Sujatha Kumari compered the programme.  Physical training instructor Chinnappa K proposed the vote of thanks.
