Kundapur: Progress review of projects in constituency conducted

Kundapur, Nov 9: A progress review meeting of various projects in the Shivamogga Loksabha constituency was presided over by chief minister Basavaraj Bommai on Tuesday November 9. Shivamogga MP B Y Raghavendra explained in the meeting the matters that need to be sorted out for speedy implementation of the projects. The following decisions were taken in the meeting:

The tourism department officials were directed to finalize DPR and take up works in Someshwar beach and Maravanthe beach at Byndoor.

The forest department officials were directed to finalize CRZ notification before the end of November, 2021 to facilitate speedy implementation of tourism projects and other development projects.

The tourism department officials were directed to take necessary measures to invite tenders for construction of Kodachadri – Kollur rope way in public private partnership (PPP) model.

The chief minister directed irrigation department officials to soon release funds for speedy completion of the Saukoor irrigation project.

Chief minister’s chief secretary Manjunath Prasad, chief minister’s secretary V Ponnuraj, social welfare department chief secretary, finance department secretary, forest department secretary, chief conservator of forest and other state level senior officials took part in the meeting.
