The awards were conferred during a function held under the aegis of Karnataka state administration, DK district administration, DK district Kannada Rajyotsav committee and DK Kannada Sahitya Parishat.
Sangh senior member U Anand Mendon, managing trustee Sadarama Mendon, and Sridar Mendon were present on the dais.
Scholarships were distributed to 64 talented students of the community on the occasion. Dayanand Tingalaya delivered introductory address. Vasudev Salian welcomed the gathering while Chandrashekar Kanchan proposed the vote of thanks.
