Agent Arrested for Cheating, Molesting Kannada Actress

Mumbai, Nov 21 (PTI):
An agent of a Kannada actress was arrested after she alleged that he had cheated and molested her, police said today.

The accused Flynn Remedios, who also claims to be a producer, was nabbed on Friday and remanded in police custody till Wednesday, Versova police station's Senior Inspector Suresh Nalawade said.

According to police, actress and model Ritu Sachdeva in her complaint on November 12, had told them that Remedios promised her roles in television shows for which she had paid him Rs five lakh as assignment fees.

Remedios claimed to have several contacts in the film industry and promised that he would get Sachdeva into the television reality show 'Bigg Boss', she said.The actress also alleged that Remedios asked her to 'compromise' for getting roles, police said, adding, Sachdeva claimed that Remedio had borrowed Rs 50,000 from her saying that his mother was unwell but he never returned the money.

"She claimed that she was mentally and financially harassed by him. He also held her hands forcefully several times, making her to feel uncomfortable," said an officer.The accused said he had produced and edited Sachdeva's videos but could not release due to lack of funds, police said adding further probe was on.
