Singer Toshi Sabri Under Observation After Accident


Mumbai, Nov 25 (IANS) Singer Toshi Sabri, who met with an accident on the Pune-Nashik highway and suffered serious injuries on his hips and legs, is currently under observation at a hospital.

The singer, who met with the accident Wednesday, is being treated at Nashik's Wockhardt Hospital.

"Toshi is out of danger but he is under 12-hour observation right now. His hips and legs have been injured a lot. They are broken. So the doctors are saying that he would not be able to stand up for long hours for sometime even after he recuperates from the injuries," a source close to the singer told IANS.

Toshi, whose soulful and powerful voice enthralled all on music reality show "Voice of India" in 2007, met with the accident Wednesday while he was returning from Shirdi to Nashik with his band members. Their car collided with a truck.

One of the band members, Aatik, died in the accident.

Designer Masaba Gupta, daughter of TV actress Neena Gupta, has wished him good health.

"We may know him a little, but praying never goes to waste...two minutes guys. Hope you guys pray for Toshi and continue to put in a thought for him sometime in the day," she posted on her Twitter page.

Toshi, who hails from Rajasthan, had participated in three major TV reality shows - "Voice of India", "Ustadon Ke Ustad" and "Jo Jeeta Wohi Superstar". He even sang the popular song "Maahi maahi" for Mahesh Bhatt's "Raaz - The Mystery Continues".
