India's industrial production eases sequentially in Nov


New Delhi, Jan 12 (IANS): India's industrial output eased sequentially in November 2021.

The Index of Industrial Production (IIP) for November 2021 rose by only 1.4 per cent from a rise of over 4 per cent reported for October 2021.

However, the production rate was higher on a year-on-year basis. In November 2020, the IIP had declined by (-)1.6 per cent.

"For the month of November 2021, the Quick Estimates of Index of Industrial Production (IIP) with base 2011-12 stands at 128.5," the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation said.

"The Indices of Industrial Production for the Mining, Manufacturing and Electricity sectors for the month of November 2021 stand at 111.9, 129.6 and 147.9, respectively."
