Udupi: SDPI demands PM Modi's resignation, oppose Pegasus

Daijiworld Media Network - Udupi (HB)

Udupi, Feb 3: "Prime Minister Narendra Modi is not a real chowkidar. He is not eligible to be in the PM post. Let him step down from the post first. We will appoint another chowkidar for the nation. He can not protect the nation ever from any attacks," remarked Shahid Ali, Vice President, SDPI at Martyr's Memorial Ground Ajjarkad here on Thursday, February 3.

He was addressing a protest organized by the Social Democratic Party of India to oppose the 'Pegasus' concept and demanded immediate resignation of Modi from his position.

He further said, "The people of India have suffered a lot under the BJP governance. Henceforth this will not continue. People have also understood the real stand of the BJP government. We have always been treated equally in Hindustan but the PM is targeting certain minority sections.

"We knew how to rule the nation but Modi is creating hatred among the people about the minorities. If anything goes wrong in the country, the chowkidar is accountable. Pegasus is a spying system which is very dangerous for the development of our country. Let him resign from his position first. Only then, peace will prevail in the nation," Ali added.

Haneef Muluru, SDPI Kaup Constituency committee president said, "Pegasus is an anti-national system. There is a conspiracy behind enforcement of the above system. The government of India, led by BJP is trying to suppress the voice of minorities."

Commenting on the current situation concerning Hijab row, he opined the issue was going out of hands. "The MLAs, who were watching blue films during the legislature sessions, are not tolerating Hijab now. The government is taking away the fundamental rights of the people. They are targeting only minority communities to control us. There is a hidden agenda behind the Pegasus. It is not a weapon. The government is trying to end the Muslims in the nation."

Nazeer Ahmed, district president, SDPI and party workers were present.
