Hassan, Jan 12: After a lorry jumped into a roadside tank on Tuesday January 11, three persons died on the spot, while ten others suffered injuries of various degrees. The incident occurred at Bharatavalli Cross in Alur taluk in the district.
The lorry, loaded with ginger, was moving towards Haryana state, when the tragedy occurred. Over 15 labourers too were travelling in it. When the vehicle approached Bharatavalli Cross, the driver lost control over the vehicle, and the lorry plunged into the tank. The victims have been identified as Aslam Pasha (26), Pravin Kumar (19), and Vinod (19).
The injured were shifted to the district government hospital in Hassan, where they are recovering.
