Udupi: College Students Stage Rally Demanding MU Centre in District

Udupi, Jan 13: Students of S M S College and Crossland College, Brahmavar, staged a protest rally here on Wednesday January 12 urging the authorities of Mangalore University (MU) to set up a centre in Udupi district.   

The students, under the aegis of Mangalore University All College Students Union, staged a protest rally from S M S College to Akashwani, Brahmavar, near here, on the NH 17 for some time alleging that MU has not set up its information center in the district despite several pleas from the students’ community that had to go to Mangalore to seek any information from the University.   

S M S College Students’ Union leaders Dheeraj Shetty, Maitri B, James D’Silva, and Sudhakar Shetty, Crossland College Students’ Union leaders Sridar, Kiran, Sudhir and Ramya including hundreds of students’ participated in the protest rally.
