Mangalore, Jan 13: Harinakshi (28), wife of Ashok Poojary, who was residing near Kordabbu Daivasthana, ended her life by hanging herself at the house of her aunt in Gandhinagar, Kavoor here, on Wednesday January 12 afternoon.

Harinakshi had married a person named Ashok Poojary two years ago. Although there were no family problems during the period she lived with her husband, she wanted to live away from her mother-in-law, a proposal that was not approved by her husband. Frustrated, she left her home, and started living with her aunt in Kavoor. The policemen suspect that the woman was fed up at her demand for separate house not being met, as a result of which she took this drastic step.

In a suicide note left behind, she said no one else was responsible for her death. Her aunt, Anusha, filed a complaint in Kavoor police station. The policemen have registered a case. Investigation is on.
