Mangalore: KIADB Begins Survey Again in Kudubipadav

Daijiworld Media Network – Mangalore (SP)

Mangalore, Jan 14: On Thursday January 13, Karnataka Industrial Area Development Board (KIADB) began survey work in Kudubipadav near here. The locals feel that the state Chief Minister, B S Yeddyurappa, is failing to keep the promise he had made to the Pejavar Swamiji about six months ago, not to acquire additional agricultural lands for setting up special economic zones.

When the attention of Sri Vishweshateertha Swamiji of Pejavar Mutt, who was undertaking harmony visits to dalit colonies on the outskirts of the city on Thursday, was drawn to this development, he said he will continue his tirade against the acquisition of agricultural lands. “I will visit Kudubipadav on Friday, and hold discussions with the district deputy commissioner on this development,” he stated.

People of Dakshina Kannada and Udupi, please do not get fooled by SEZ/MRPL/OMPL. While acquiring land these people promise lot of things and do not fulfill them at all. For instance, SEZ/MRPL/OMPL treat PDF as DOG/BEGGERS. They have all reasons to make sure that these PDF's will not get promised job easily. Even if they provide job they treat them very very badly. They have not considered anyone's previous experience and have inducted them as trainee. This is a really horrible experience. Now they are talking about policy and hundred things while offering job. Why was not it mentioned earlier? No body would have surrendered their land if they had told about their dirty policy. All people there think, only people from North and Tamilnadu are brilliant and rest all are dumbs.

So, this is my humble request, please do not get fooled again and again. Do not allow KIADB to acquire land. Please unite and oppose. And stick to only one condition – Condition less Compensation, they need to offer Job/Designation prior to acquisition.
