Bangalore: Beary Sahitya Academy to Hold Session on Beary Literature on Jan 16

Bangalore, Jan 14: Karnataka Beary Sahitya Academy will organize a session on Beary literature – cultural extravaganza at Ravindra Kala Mandir, here on Sunday January 16 at 2.30 pm.
 
The state departments of Kannada and culture, Information and Broadcasting secretary Ramesh B Zalaki will inaugurate the programme by releasing 10 books on Beary language.
 
Karnataka Beary Sahitya Academy president M B Abdul Rehman will preside.
 
Bangalore-based the Bearys’ Welfare Association president G V Bawa will release CD of Beary songs by Ahmed Noori Bangalore on the occasion.

Veteran Kannada litterateur Dr U R Anantamurti will chair a session on Beary literature at 3.30 pm. Veteran litterateur professor Baragooru Ramachandrappa, former minister and litterateur Dr B T Lalita Nayak and ‘Sudha’ Kannada weekly assistant editor B M Hanif will take part in the session.

Beary language crusaders M M Khureshi, K M Shekabba, Abid Beary Manipur and Attur Cheyyabba will be felicitated on the occasion.
 
The students of Yedapadav Ideal English Medium School will stage shows of Oppanepat, Moilanjipat, Pudiyampulepat, Kolkali and Beary cultural programme, while Hussein Katipalla group will stage Beary folk songs as part of cultural programmes at 6.30 pm, stated the media release issued by the registrar Chandrahas Rai B, Karnataka Beary Sahitya Academy.
