Bantwal: Revenue Officials Clear Unauthorized Religious Structures

Bantwal, Jan 19: The operation to clear illegal religious structures in the taluk, including prayer centres, donation boxes set up by the roadsides, platforms and other unauthorized structures was launched in the taluk by revenue officials on Tuesday January 18.

During the operation, the donation box of Gilkinjattaya Daivasthana in Veerakambha village, platform of Netla Lord Sadashiva at Kuntipapu in Kalladka-Vittal Road, donation box of Goltamajal Moidin Jumma Masjid, ‘Hoo Hakuva Kallu’ located on Vogga Karinja road belonging to Sri Karinjeshwara temple at Kavalamudoor village, and some other structures were cleared.

It is gathered that no objections or opposition were encountered by the officials for this operation. Revenue officials said that the concerned voluntarily cleared some of the structures.

Tahsildar, Ravichandra Nayak, PWD assistant engineer, Lokesh, policemen of Vittal and Bantwal stations and others were present during the operation.
