Mangalore, Jan 19: Kantaratna (47), wife of Jagadish, residing in Bejai in the city, committed suicide by hanging herself at her residence.

Reportedly, the lady was suffering from psychological problems since the last five years. She was distressed at the fact that treatments had failed to improve her condition. When no one was at home on the night of Monday January 17, she used a rope to hang herself from a ceiling fan in her bedroom.

On a complaint filed in this connection by Ramesh, brother of Kantaratna, a case has been registered in Urwa police station here.
