Mangalore: Athena Institute Holds National Conference on Nursing Education

Mangalore, Jan 20: Athena Institute of Health Sciences conducted a two-day national conference on ‘Emerging Trends in Nursing Education’ at its premises, here on Thursday, January 20 and 21.

 

Dr Assuma Beevi, principal of MIMS College of Nursing, Calicut was the chief guest and the resource person of the event. She invited the teachers to be a good facilitator, motivator and inspiration to the students. She stressed on providing good clinical facilities, conducive environment and the good clinical teaching for excellence in nursing education and improving the quality of nursing profession.

Chairman of Athena Institute of Health Science R S Shettian wished the organizers and the delegates fruitful days of interaction and exposure to gain depth knowledge of the changing trends in nursing education and practices.

Principal Sr Ann Rose welcomed the gathering. Jyothi Martis proposed the vote of thanks.

Asha Shettian, secretary Athena Institute of Health Sciences, post graduate coordinator Sr Alphonsa, programme coordinator Jyothi Martis and student secretary Raji Babu were present on the occasion.
