Mangalore, Jan 24: The policemen of Ullal station arrested Tausif (27), Moulavi of Ullal Alekala mosque, on Sunday January 21. He has been accused of forcing an eight-year-old boy for satiating his sexual urge.

Allegedly, the Moulavi had forced a local boy named Arfan (8) to have unnatural sex with him on Sunday, when no one was around. The boy told his parents about the development, after reaching home. The boy was admitted into a private hospital here. During tests, the allegation was found to be true. The parents of the boy, and some Muslim leaders from the locality, demonstrated in front of Ullal police station, demanding for the arrest of the accused.

A case was registered in Ullal police station against the accused, and the policemen arrested Tausif on Sunday evening, and produced him at the judge’s residence, as it was a holiday. He has been remanded to judicial custody.
