Belgaum: Harassment – Mother Jumps into River with Three Children

Belgaum, Jan 28: The bodies of Sudha Langoti (30), a resident of Gajapati village near Bailahongala in the district, and her three children, Aishwarya (7), Anand (6), and Pooja (1) were found floating  in River Malaprabha near M K Hubli on Thursday January 27 afternoon. 

Reportedly, Sudha decided to commit suicide, having been unable to bear the harassment meted out to her by her husband and other relatives. Kittur circle inspector of police, S F Totagi, said that Suresh Langoti, husband of Sudha, has been taken into custody, and that he is being interrogated.

Sudha had married Sureh Langoti, a driver by profession, a native of Gajapati village, eight years ago. She had gone missing since the last two days. Villagers said that Sudha had fought with her husband many a time, having been frustrated over incessant harassment given by him and his other relatives to her.
