Udupi, Feb 1: English Professor N Manu Chakravarti of NMKRY College, Bangalore, has been selected for the ‘V M Inamdar Kavya Vimarsha Prashasti – 2011’ by Govind Pai Research Centre.

Prof Chakravarti has been teaching graduate and post graduate students for the past 28 years. He has penned many columns on feminism and its critics, and has a special interest in writing novels.

Prof Chakravarthi has presented papers in national seminars on education, human rights, and various aspects of literature. He can confidently talk about prevailing politics, social, and cultural phenomenon.

His anthology on conversation and cultural reflection was published in 2002 while his anthology of Girish Kasaravalli on culturing realism was published in 2008. His book – ‘Framing the New Wave’ on Sandalwood director Laxminarayanan was published in 2009.

His Kannada book ‘Madhyama Marga’, a catalyst of cultural essence, movies, and the prevailing political scenario, published in 2010 has been chosen for V M Inamdar Kavya Vimarsha Prashasti. He is a regular contributor to Kannada dailies and magazines.
