IPL 2022: Lucknow win toss, opt to bowl against Royal Challengers Bangalore

Mumbai, Apr 19 (IANS): Lucknow Super Giants captain K.L Rahul won the toss and opted to bowl first against Royal Challengers Bangalore in an IPL 2022 match at the DY Patil Stadium, here on Tuesday.

Lucknow, who have won four matches so far in the tournament, didn't make any change in their team.

"We are going to bowl first. At this stage, all teams like to chase. The game as we know can go up and down. Got a couple of first ball ducks and then a hundred. It's good to keep my game on the toes. Coming into the game excited, wanting to do well for my team. The same team for us," said Rahul at the toss.

On the other hand, the Faf du Plessis-led RCB also maintained the same playing XI, which helped them win their last game.

"It's been a great start for us (this season). The guys are playing well. Playing against a strong team tonight. If I won the toss, I would have surprised you by bowling first (smiles). Same team for us as well," said Du Plessis.

Royal Challengers Bangalore: Faf du Plessis (c), Anuj Rawat, Virat Kohli, Glenn Maxwell, Suyash Prabhudessai, Shahbaz Ahmed, Dinesh Karthik(wk), Wanindu Hasaranga, Harshal Patel, Josh Hazlewood, Mohammed Siraj
