Puttur: Gold worth lac of rupees, bike stolen from house in Sampya

Puttur, Jun 14: Within a gap of two hours golden ornaments worth lac of rupees and a bike were stolen from a house at Sampya under Aryapu village in the taluk on the night of June 12.

The theft occurred at the house of Adrama S in Sampya. The inmates of the house had gone to Kodaje for a mehendi programme on the evening of June 12. When they returned in the night, the theft came to light.

Thieves broke open the latch of the house and decamped with golden bangles, necklace, ear rings and diamond ring worth Rs 6,74,600. They also stole the bike that was parked in the verandah of the house.

A case in this regard is registered in Sampya police station.
