Udupi: Minister Shobha Karandlaje visits Kadiyali Mahishamardini temple

Udupi, Jun 14: Union minister of state for agriculture and farmers Shobha Karandlaje visited, offered prayers and received Prasadam at Kadiyali Sri Mahishamardini temple here on Tuesday June 14.

She expressed her happiness after watching the temple works. She said that the unique architecture of the temple is a model not only for the state but the country. “May the deity bless the villagers and the devotees who constructed the temple together. I am fortunate to participate in the Kar seva of the temple as a volunteer,” she said.

A special umbrella used under the concept, service to God is the service to mankind was handed over to Udupi resident Sharvani on the occasion.

Renovation committee chief secretary K Raghavendra Kini gave details of the temple construction. Temple chief priest K Radhakrishna Upadhyaya, Kadiyali temple management committee members Sandhya Prabhu, Shashikala Bharath, Manjunath Hebbar, Kollur Mookambika temple managing committee members Sandhya Ramesh, vice president Bharati Chandrashekar, Brahma Kalasha Utsava committee secretary Sujatha Sathish, Chetana Chandrashekar Prabhu, social activist Pradeep Rao and temple official Gangadhar Hegde were present.
