Puttur, Mar 11: On the arrival of Dr Pravin Bhai Togadia, secretary of Vishwa Hindu Parishat (VHP), at Mangalore airport for taking part in the Pratinidhi Sabha of Rashriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) on Thursday March 10, a warm welcome was accorded by district leader of VHP, Krishnamurty and Vinay L Shetty, among others. Togadia came with a battery of body guards.

At Puttur, VHP Puttur region president, Radhakrishna Bhat, and other functionaries, extended welcome to Togadia at Vivekananda College campus, venue of the RSS Pratinidhi Sabha. Various other delegates, who are set to take part in the Sabha, are arriving in buses and trains. They are being housed in three hostels of the college and rooms of the engineering college.

In the meanwhile, it is learnt that the national executive meeting of RSS held on Thursday expressed serious concern about the policy of passive aggression being pursued by China against India. A decision was taken to urge the government to take a stern stand against Chinese efforts in this direction. The executive recalled that because of the fact that the then central government had to tackle Chinese aggression in 1962, as it overlooked the then RSS Sarsanghchalak’s warning about China’s designs. The executive, drawing the attention of the government to the fact China has been angry at India’s initiative in providing shelter to exiled Dalai Lama, also expressed serious concern about the fact that the central government is not yet prepared to shed its redundant ‘Hindi Chini Bhai Bhai’ policy. At the executive, final touches to various issues to be discussed at the convention were given, sources said.
