Beltangady, Mar 17: “One should have unflinching faith in the Lord. Worshipping a number of gods, and not having total dedication towards any one of them, is a characteristic of fools,” said Dr Santosh Guruji of Ayur Ashram, Bangalore. He was delivering religious discourse on Wednesday March 16 night, as part of Brahmakalashotsava organized in Dharmasthala.
“A worship backed by egotism goes waste. Show of devotion for impressing others is also unwanted. There is no difference between different gods, and devotees need not be split on the lines of worshippers of Lord Vishu and Lord Shiva, etc. ‘Shiva’ means mortal. Even different incarnations of Lord Vishu have worshipped Lord Shiva, as both of them are merged into each other. Worship of the Lord should give us peace of mind, contentment and happiness. Fighting of devotees among themselves produces an altogether adverse result. Those who take up tasks with total trust on god will definitely achieve what they want,” he added.
While praising the coast of Karnataka for housing a number of good prayer centres, he hailed Dharmasthala as the only seat of righteousness, which has no parallels anywhere else.

Felicitation function for architectural expert, Prasad Muniyangala and Sthapati Dakshina Murty, wood sculpture artiste, Narayan Achar, and copper sculpture artiste, Shivaprasad, will be held at Dharmasthala on Thursday March 17. Sri Vidyaprasannateertha Swamiji of Subrahmanya Mutt and Shakti Amma Swamiji of Vellore Sripuram, will felicitate the artistes.
Re-consecration of Sri Annappa Swamy, Ishtadevate and Lord Brahmadeva apart from Brahmakalashotsava connected thereto, will be organized on Friday March 18.
