Modi virtually opens Asia’s biggest Bosch India Smart Campus Spark.Nxt at Adugodi

Bengaluru. Jun 30: Prime Minister Narendra Modi opened Asia’s biggest Bosch India Smart Campus Spark.Nxt at Adugodi virtually from New Delhi on Thursday.

Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai participated in the function at Adugodi in Bengaluru.

The Prime Minister, in his speech, said the German technology giant Bosch had invested in India through its establishments in Bengaluru and has a history of over 100 years. It is known for its technological prowess and quality products and the new smart campus would produce qualified technical personnel.

Bommai, in his speech, asked the Bosch Company to ensure that the new ampus adds to the technical support system through its research and development efforts. Companies like Bosch must help in the country’s economic growth, protection of environment and improving the quality of life.

The Chief Minister said Karnataka has emerged as a technical hub. Over 400 world class research and development centres from genetics to aerospace besides a large number of Fortune 500 Companies, Information and Biotechnology, Renewable energy to Artificial Intelligence, Robotics etc., were operating from Bengaluru.

The State was in the forefront of ethanol production, Bommai said pointing out that the government is giving emphasis on hydrogen based energy and has signed a deal for producing ammonia from sea water.

Robert Bosch GMBH Administrative Board member Filliz Al Brecht and Bosch Group India President Soumitra Bhattacharya were among the dignitaries present.

Salumarada Thimmakka Honoured

The Chief Minister later participated in the function to mark the 111th birthday of Salumarada Thimmakka, which was organize by the Salumarada Thimmakka International Foundation and Sri Siddartha Education Society, Tumkuru, and honoured the lady.

Housing Minister V Somanna, former Deputy Chief Minister Dr G Parameshwara, Chief Minister’s Political Secretary M P Renukacharya, BJP leader Tejaswini Ananth Kumar and others participated in the function.
