Bantwal: 30 member team from district safe at Amarnath

Bantwal, Jul 9: Following a cloudburst in Amarnath, many people have died. In the midst of this, information is received that the 30 member team of Dakshina Kannada which went to Amarnath for pilgrimage is safe.

Devadas Shetty, president of BUDA is in continuous touch with the 30 pilgrims as per the direction of MLA Rajesh Naik. Suresh Kotian, one of the pilgrims in the team said that they have to travel another 28 km to reach the final spot. Soldiers who are undertaking rescue operation are giving good cooperation and they are hopeful of getting the Darshan on Sunday July 10 morning.
